Prayerwheels21billion is the vision of a team of prayer wheel makers & enthusiasts who believe in the power of creating and distributing prayer wheels to accumulate vast amounts of Vajra Guru mantras for the sake of all sentient beings. 

How it all began:

In early Spring of 2025, we learned about the Seven Line Prayer global accumulation effort to accomplish 21 billion recitations of the Seven Line Prayer.

Similarly, we learned the project to accumulate 1 billion Guru Rinpoche mantras is also happening.

These projects, coupled with Treasure Revealer Jigme Nuden Dorje’s predictions of 2030 obstacles and ways to avert them, motivated us to think creatively about how prayer wheels can help accelerate Vajra Guru mantra accumulation efforts.  

In “Aspiration Prayer for Urging the Enlightened Minds to Avert the Strife of the Unfortunate Era” Kyabje Jadral Sangay Dorje’s calls on practitioners to “recite the Vajra Guru mantra aloud day and night.”

Through the generous support of donors, sufficient funds were raised to produce the first-ever nanofilm of the Vajra Guru mantra, which allows prayer wheel makers to place billions of Vajra Guru mantras into prayer wheels of all sizes.

During the development of this Vajra Guru nanofilm, it became apparent to us that there was a need for more guided and accessible information on how to effectively design prayer wheels. On this website, we created a detailed guide on creating authentic prayer wheels based on the direct instructions of Kyabje Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche, Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa, H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, and Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche, as well as numerous traditional commentaries translated from Tibet.
